TRUDI  JAMES   HAWKE

E-RYT • YACEP

Trudi’s journey into discovering yoga started with a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2010. With her educational background in Exercise and Sports Science from Auburn University and The University of Sydney, also in an effort to take ownership of intentionally managing the effects of the disease, she sought out the practice as an alternative therapeutic modality.

Encouraged and empowered by how the Vinyasa practice helped to counter her physical limitations, as well as its ability to enhance the connection between, mind, body and spirit, she completed her 200-hr Yoga Alliance approved teacher training in 2013 at Yogafly Studio in Auburn, AL under Peach Dumars and Jessica Carry.

Teaching yoga since 2013, Trudi continues to serve the global community by traveling to teach in-person at studios, virtually online, both private individual and group sessions, for corporate wellness programs, special events, workshops, domestic and destination retreats, teacher trainings and continuing education offerings.

Her classes are physically challenging, informative and often playful - with a dose of heart-felt inspiration.

Her collegiate studies and time spent as Division I athlete made it easy for Trudi to recognize, understand and fully endorse the many physiological benefits of yoga. But, and maybe more importantly, she has uncovered how it can be one of the best tools for gaining a deeper and truer understanding of yourself; you just have to be willing to embrace the opportunity.

As mother of four, born in Mandeville, Jamaica, raised in sunny South Florida, a former resident of Sydney & Melbourne, Australia , Auburn, Alabama and currently living in Middletown, Delaware, Trudi is well travelled and filled with many different cultural and life experiences to offer students.

She is an earnest lover, teacher and forever student of the practice.
