hello!

My journey into discovering yoga started with a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2010. With an educational background in Exercise and Sports Science from Auburn University and The University of Sydney, also in an effort to take ownership of intentionally managing the effects of the disease, I sought out the practice as an alternative therapeutic modality.

Encouraged and empowered by how the Vinyasa practice helped to counter the physical limitations I was experiencing, as well as its ability to enhance the connection between, my mind, body and spirit, I completed a 200-hr Yoga Alliance approved teacher training in 2013 at Yogafly Studio in Auburn, AL under Peach Dumars and Jessica Carry.

I have been leading the practice of yoga in its many forms since 2013. And I continue to serve the global community by traveling to teach in-person at studios, virtually online, both private individual and group sessions, for corporate wellness programs, special events, workshops, domestic and destination retreats, teacher trainings and continuing education offerings.

My classes tend to be physically challenging, informative and often playful . My biggest intention is to offer a personal connection with students on the universality of our struggles and in celebration of our commonality.

My collegiate studies and time spent as Division I athlete made it easy for me to recognize, understand and fully endorse the many physiological benefits of yoga. But, and what I find the most important, I have discovered how it can be one of the best tools for gaining a deeper and truer understanding of ourselves … you just have to be willing to embrace the opportunity.

As mother of four, born in Mandeville, Jamaica, raised in sunny South Florida, a former resident of Sydney & Melbourne, Australia , Auburn, Alabama and currently living in Middletown, Delaware, I am well travelled and filled with many different cultural and life experiences to offer students and remind you of our sameness.

I am an earnest lover, teacher and forever student of this life changing practice.

I am honored to be but one guide and fellow traveler on the path with you!

xoxo,
